Why our technique is different

No Needle

Local anesthetic is delivered through the skin with a needle-free device. Most patients feel just a little “snap,” if anything.

No Scalpel

The vas deferens is reached through a tiny puncture rather than a traditional scalpel incision. No skin stitches are needed.

No Permanent Metal Clips

Dr. Chapman uses dissolving suture for tissue interposition. The body-side end is cauterized; the testicle-side end is left open.

“I didn’t choose vasectomies. Vasectomies chose me.”
Why vasectomies?

The experience that changed my practice

During his own vasectomy, Dr. Chapman felt significant pain on the first side—and nothing at all on the second. That experience convinced him that if one side could be painless, both sides could be.

He spent the next several years refining his numbing and surgical technique. Once he added needle-free anesthesia, the final uncomfortable part of the procedure could also be minimized. Word spread, referrals grew, and vasectomies eventually became his entire practice.

Using insurance

Many insurance plans cover vasectomy. Our staff checks your benefits and gives you the best estimate available before your appointment. Insurance estimates are not guarantees because the final amount depends on how the insurer processes the claim.

Consultation and vasectomy on the same day: The consultation is $220. The vasectomy is billed to insurance, with the patient responsible for any deductible, copay, or coinsurance applied by the plan.

There are no hospital, surgery-center, anesthesiology, or general-anesthesia charges.
